2017 Summer Law Clerk.

Responsible for researching, compiling, comparing, and organizing legal documents for lawyers. Assists lawyers in court proceedings. The summer clerk is asked to:

  • Research issues before the court.
  • Write memorandums based on research.
  • Participate in the formation of case law.
  • Interact with chambers staff, court personnel, litigants and the public.
  • Assist attorneys with settlement conferences and discovery disputes.
  • Review briefs submitted by the parties.
  • Verify cited legal authority.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents including trial briefs, memoranda and orders.<
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues in workers’ compensation appeals.
  • Draft concise, well-researched briefs, memoranda and other legal documents.
  • Keep abreast of changes in the law.
  • Review dockets of pending litigation.
  • Review complaints, petitions, motions, or pleadings.

The summer clerk will work out of our New Jersey (Paramus) office.

Associate Attorney – New York bar required.

This entry-level associate attorney will support the New York workers’ compensation defense practice at Lois LLC. Experience with workers’ compensation matters is preferred.

This associate will work out of our New Jersey (Paramus) office. Travel is required to New York Metropolitan hearing points.

This is a full-time position. Compensation is based on experience and includes a full benefits package, including 401(k) and medical.

This entry-level associate attorney will support the New Jersey workers’ compensation defense practice at Lois LLC. Experience with workers’ compensation matters is preferred.

This associate will work out of our New Jersey (Paramus) office. Travel is required within New Jersey.

Paralegal.

This entry-level associate paralegal will support the New York workers’ compensation defense practice at Lois LLC. Experience with workers’ compensation matters is preferred. Qualified candidate must have one to three years experience in a billing position and proficiency with Microsoft Word & Outlook.

An associates degree is required. A Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA approved organization or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Candidate must be able to secure a notary license (Lois LLC will reimburse for associated costs).

File Clerk.

This entry-level file clerk will support the active litigation defense practice at Lois LLC. An Associates degree is required. A Bachelors degree is preferred. The successful candidate is highly-organized and cheerful.

This file clerk will be located in our New Jersey (Paramus) office.

This is a full-time position. Compensation offered is hourly and based on experience and includes a full benefits package, including 401(k) and medical.
